PTFE semifinished products
TEKU GmbH Fluoroplastics supplies semifinished and finished products made of PTFE fluoroplastics.
By adding specific filling agents, the properties of PTFE can be modified to extend the scope of application and optimize the material for specific applications (see PTFE compounds). Our standard supply range consists of different material types:
- PTFE pure white
- PTFE with 25% glass
- PTFE with 25% carbon
- PTFE with 15% graphite
- PTFE with 5% M0S2
- PTFE with 40% or 60% bronze
- PTFE with 50% V2A

Extruded rods (ram extrusion)
Ram extrusion is a continuous press-sintering procedure. PTFE powder is processed to semifinished products by applying it via a dosing mechanism to metal tools (rods, tubes, profiles) heated to sintering temperature.
Extruded products:
- Rods from 4 to 160 mm diameter,
length up to 3000 mm
(Excess lengths available on special order) - Tubes of 10 to 205 mm diameter,
length up to 3000 mm
For lower diameter tolerances, extruded rods up to 60 mm diameter can also be ground.

Press processing
PTFE powder is compressed in metal forms to simple geometrical forms using hydraulic presses and then sintered in hot-air ovens (in special cases in an N2 atmosphere). The sintering cycle is dependent on the size and dimensions of the formed parts; it involves controlled heating, controlled maintenance of temperature and controlled cooling.
Pressed products
- Rods from 30 to 775 mm diameter,
length up to 300 mm - Tubes from 35 to 390 mm diameter,
length up to 300 mm - Rings from 405 to 1440 mm diameter,
height up to 100 mm - Sheets, 4 to 150 mm thick,
max. size 1500 x 1500 mm / 2000 x 1000 mm - Sheets made from films: sheets are manufactured
to a thickness from 1 to 6 mm,
max. size 1800 x 1800 mm
Films are skived in special machines from blocks manufactured in the pressing process:
Films with a thickness between 0.025 and 6.0 mm, width of max. 1800 mm and length between 15 and about 1800 m.
